OMG has topped the 2025 Festival of Media Cause Awards shortlist with 36 nominations across the group. PHD and OMD are the joint top-performing agencies in the list with 15 nominations each.
OMD’s nominations came from six markets, including the most-recognized campaign at the show– ‘Deal with the Trash’, a campaign for McDonald’s Sweden, which received four nominations: Best Environmental Campaign; Best Innovation for a Cause Campaign; Best Sustainability Campaign; and Local Impact Campaign.
OMD’s other nominations span three clients across three continents: 2degrees (OMD New Zealand); Al Joumhouria (OMD Dubai); and Mibanco (OMD Peru).
Additionally, MG OMD (UK) was nominated in the Best Internal Initiative category for ‘The Belonging & Islamophobia Taskforce’.
PHD’s 15 nominations came from eight markets, and for clients including: Nosotras (PHD Chile); British Heart Foundation (PHD UK); Guinness (PHD Ireland); Johnnie Walker (PHD Hungary); Medalla Light (PHD Puerto Rico); Sandy Hook Promise (PHD USA); Scotiabank (PHD Canada); and Volkswagen Škoda (PHD India).
Hearts & Science was shortlisted in three different categories, with two campaigns from Wellstar (Hearts & Science USA) and one campaign from Animates (Hearts & Science New Zealand).
Included in the list of OMG nominations is Beauty Co-Lab, whose work for L’Oréal was awarded for Best Campaign for Health & Wellbeing and Best Campaign for Women’s Empowerment.
The Festival of Media Cause Awards aims to encourage more of the industry to seamlessly incorporate cause or purpose into their media strategies, showcase how media can be a force for good, and provide a platform to highlight and amplify the work currently being produced in this space.
This strong showing across OMG’s global network underscores our commitment to fostering media innovation to drive meaningful impact for our clients’ businesses.
