Omnicom Media Group (OMG) agencies have dominated at the 2025 Festival of Media Cause Campaign Awards.

PHD was named Media Network of the Year, while OMD Dubai and PHD USA stood neck-and-neck, each securing an Agency of the Year title.

The dominance continued as OMD Dubai’s ‘Uncensored Press: Breaching the Algorithm’ and PHD USA’s ‘Just Joking’ shared the Campaign of the Year title.

The Grand Prix wins came after OMG won a total of nine category awards, for six campaigns, across six countries.

PHD took home four category awards, for clients Diageo (Guinness); Nosotras; and Sandy Hook Promise.

PHD USA won Campaign of the Year for ‘Just Joking’, a campaign that used real-school shooter threats delivered by comedians to show how people too often dismiss danger as a joke. The work won Gold in two categories (Best Small Budget Campaign; Best Campaign for a Charity) and was Highly Commended in one more (Best Reactive Response).

PHD also won a Gold for ‘Never Settle’, a campaign for Diageo (Guinness) by PHD Ireland (Best Use of Accessibility in a Campaign), and ‘Me Feat. Me’, a campaign for Nosotras by PHD Chile (Best Campaign for the LGBTQ+ Community).

OMD won Campaign of the Year for ‘Uncensored Press’, a campaign for Al Joumhouria by OMD Dubai, which turned war photos censored by algorithms into typewritten text art, calling for algorithmic reform so silenced stories could be seen. The work received the Grand Prix after scoring two category wins: Best Small Budget Campaign and Best Reactive Response. It was also Highly Commended for Best Innovation for a Cause Campaign.

Additionally, OMD won two Golds for ‘EstibADores’, a campaign for Mibanco by OMD Peru (in Best Campaign Celebrating Culture; Local Impact Campaign), and ‘Good Tings’, a campaign for 2degrees by OMD New Zealand (Best Collaboration for a Cause).

Created in 2021, the Festival of Media Cause Campaign Awards aims to encourage more of the industry to seamlessly incorporate cause or purpose into their media strategies, showcase how media can be a force for good, and provide a platform to highlight and amplify the work currently being produced in this space.
